Breakthrough Banker of the Year Award
Recognizing Iowa’s emerging leaders who are shaping the future of community banking.
The Breakthrough Banker of the Year Award, presented annually by CBI's Leaders of Tomorrow program, honors an emerging leader who exemplifies the future of independent community banking in Iowa.
Award Criteria
Excellence in Banking:
Recognizes individual achievements and contributions to their bank's success.
Community Engagement:
Highlights active involvement and positive impact within local communities.
Leadership Potential:
Identifies individuals integral to their bank's leadership succession plan.
Eligibility Requirements:
Nominees must be employed by a CBI member bank.
Nominations can be submitted by any banker and must be endorsed by a member of senior management.
While LOT membership is encouraged, it is not mandatory for nominees.
Nomination Process:
The nomination period opens annually in April.
Recipients are honored during CBI's Annual Convention in July.
